Overview of Reservations

Reservations are a digital record of a guest stay, categorized by Status and inventory allocation.

Every reservation must have the following details: 

  • Client Type
  • Arrival Date & Departure Date
  • Occupancy
  • Rate & Room Type
  • Guest Profile

Reservation Statuses

Guestroom or House Account inventory is held for reservations in these statuses:

Reservation A record of a future guest stay
Arrival A record of a guest stay arriving today
In-House A record of a guest stay, after check-in
Departure A record of a guest stay departing today
Checked Out A record of a past guest stay

Guestroom or House Account inventory is released in this status:

Cancelled A record of a past or future guest stay that has been cancelled before check-in

Guestroom or House Account inventory is held for reservations in this status and it will affect occupancy reporting:

No Show A record of a guest stay that was not checked in on the arrival date 
Overstayed A record of a guest stay that was not checked out on the departure date

Guestroom or House Account inventory is not held for reservations in this status:

Waitlisted A record of a guest stay with incomplete details and/or unavailable inventory
